Chris Carter

Lovvveeeedddd this novel! It was like reading an episode of Criminal Minds which I LOVED and I was hooked from page one all the way through.
I gave this book a 4/5 because Carter’s writing style can feel a little weird and forced sometimes. His grammar choice is interesting every once in a while as well. Other than that, it’s really a good novel.
The Crucifix Killer is just one book of 12 that follow Homicide Detective Robert Hunter. He’s a little aggressive, insanely smart, has quick-wit, drinks excessively, and catches the craziest killers out there. (Tell me it’s not Criminal Minds).
The Crucifix Killer was disgusting and intense which I loved every second of; an insanely brutal psychothriller that you can’t look away from.
brutal enough that I now have the rest of Carter’s series on my TBR because I thoroughly enjoyed watching Hunter lose his mind but also crack his case. Plus the ending?????? Screaming?????
I would definitely recommend for those who love the intense and gory crime and mystery genre. This book will keep you on your toes. So gross — but so great.
