One of my favorite Historical Fictions ever.

Amor Towles pays such great attention to detail. Not a thing was left untouched. I’ve never been able to see every scene and character so well in my mind.

Alexander Rostov will hands down be one of the best men you get to know in a book. He’s intelligent, kind, and patient. He’s the purest definition of ‘gentleman’. And while he’s sentenced to live out the rest of his days in hotel Metropol in Russia, he doesn’t let that derail his life one bit. He finds a great fire within to make the most of his circumstances and creates whole new meaning for his life.

Alexander’s story is a special one. He’ll draw you in to the point you wonder how he’s doing when you’re not reading. It’s an undoubtedly beautiful prose and you will experience every spectrum of emotion the entire way through.

One of my favorite things about it — it is not only the beautiful literature itself, but its ability in being incredibly intellectually stimulating that sucked me in. Rostov and his logic in conversing will make you wish you were just as articulate.

The read is a phenomenal one and you won’t regret picking it up.
